Making lunch FUN!

Updated: Dec 17, 2020

This post is sponsored by Campbell's®, Kraft®, and Pepperidge Farm®, but all opinions are my own.

As the days get shorter and we’re inside the house more than ever, it's so important to keep things upbeat and fun for ALL of our sanity! With all the kids home with me (every. single. day), I caught myself falling into a rut and we all started getting a bit whiny. Same peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch, and typically me shooing the kids out of my way so I can just get lunch over with.

But I felt determined to stop getting these everyday moments “over with,” and instead slowing down and inviting the kids in. Planning a fun, delicious lunch that they’re excited to make helps make them even more excited to eat! And instead of shooing them, it's leveraging an average moment for bonding and keeping them busy. It’s really the perfect pair!

Our favorite so far has been Grilled Cheese and Campbell's® Tomato Soup, paired with some Goldfish® crackers to make it even more fun!

My favorite tip for Campbell's® Tomato Soup is to use evaporated milk instead of water - this makes it even more creamy and so delicious! Use this moment to talk to your kids about how colors mix and change - the red soup turns more orange once you add milk!

It takes longer and is messier - but letting the kids prep the grilled cheese makes them so proud. Just a little butter or ghee on our favorite Pepperidge Farm Farmhouse® Hearty White Bread with classic Kraft® Singles American Slices and voila, the perfect grilled cheese for any eater, no matter how picky!

And if your kid takes forever to finish a meal, having the grilled cheese cut into “dipping” sticks and letting them “go fish” for Pepperidge Farm® Goldfish® Cheddar Crackers always helps bring laughter to the table, and without even realizing it, they’ve finished a whole meal and it's nap time!

The best thing is that you can get all these items at Walmart! Head to the store or click this link to add the items to your next grocery pickup or delivery.
